I'm with Jason on the Bob Evans thing. A couple years ago on my way back from Arizona we stopped at a Bob Evans in Indiana for lunch. Within an hour I was in severe pain. Luckily I was trailering the ST so Mary could take over driving. We were trying to make it back to NJ that night. But we only made it to the Ohio / Pennsylvania state line. We got the last available hotel room and it happened to be the handicapped suite with the large throne. I wrote and called Bob Evans. They sent me $15 in food coupons. I gave them away. Stay away from the Chicken Salad. |

I don't even know what a Cracker Barrel chain is. I assume a diner/fast food chain. |

I was in a Cracker Barrel in Winchester VA once, we asked the waitress to bring a large orange juice each as we were thirsty..... I think the glasses were a litre each.... certainly kept me going.... All other road users are idiots, ride accordingly.

TOM - Not to steal Jason's thunder, but from the last one I got - 219,...600, 311,617...,220,...,678,250,42. Hope that gives you some idea. But routes are always subject to change - even on the day we ride them... RedBird-97STD 122,000+M SweetTreat-02ABS 53,000+M FroST-97ABS 11,000+M http://www.unclephil.us/

Thanks Phil. I was thinking of maybe meeting at Princeton on Thursday evening and then riding to Harrisonburg with the JJJ crew on Friday, ride a bit on Saturday, then back home that evening. All up in the air at this point though. |

Nope - Bob Evans SUCKS. I've tried to eat at several of them and it just plain sucks. I rate it on the level of white castle or waffle house. If you guys want to eat there, I seriously 100% dont mind at all to go somewhere else and eat alone and meet you guys back in the parking lot. I would not at all want to knock someone else out of eating there if they like it - but I won't be partaking. Actually, the routes have been tweaked a little. I will go over them once more and send them to Reg so he can post on the website for all to download. I'll do them up in S&T and Garmin Mapjunk formats. I still need to call and book my rooms. I am kicking around whether I will stay both nights at FriendSTOC or just ride back home on Sat. Haven't decided yet. I guess I'd miss the auction though if I rode home Sat - just thought of that. Guess Id better stay both nights then. Where's Andee? Thought he was keen on the JJJ ride - haven't seen him post in a few days. Tom, Im sorry on the slow or failed reply. My current interests go in phases and riding phase hasn't really started back up yet like it normally would be. ..... |

Hi Jason, I emailed Reg approx. a week ago asking him to add me to the Friendstoc & JJJ attendee list. I haven't checked the website to see if I was there. I'm heading to Ohio & WV probably on Sat or Sun (May 23 o& 24..I think) for some pre-JJJ riding. I'll be in Georgetown.Ky on Monday or Tuesday. Jim Menard is also planning on partaking in the JJJ. Those roads you gave me for my ride in Ky last Sept. were fabulous. I'm looking forward to some more of them in May. Andeeeeee |

I'm still looking for someone to split room cost for Fri & Sat Nt @ Village Inn. I guess I'm just stingy with my bike money. [I’d rather spend it on fuel or farkle(s).] Jason, I'm hoping to join your group too Thursday night or early Friday morning in Princeton. Do you have a clutch out time? (Thursday night will probably be in Dublin Va.) SnooSTer STOC#279

Clutch out should be around 8:00AM to 8:30AM each day of the JJJ. That should allow us time to get some breakfast and not be in too bad a rush or have to wake the roosters up. Charlie - sounds good. Look forward to seeing you guys there. Tom - there is always room for more. Be sure you book a room at the hotels and let me know when you will be arriving at Georgetown if you want to take a pre ride around here a little. On day 2 of the JJJ as we run thought the town of Painstville, KY (my home town) if anyone wants or is interested we can take a little side route around town to run up and see Loretta Lynn's homeplace if anyone is into that sort of thing. It aint much, but people come from all over to see it - don't mean anything to me, but for those that would like to see it we can run by there. It's not that far and the roads are okay. If not we can just roll on through town, I don't care either way. ...... |

Jason - I think that I am headed for the JJJ instead of heading North to Quebec. Can you please help me with the dates of this event? The first hotel on the list is the Microtel Inn in Georgetown, KY. Are folks staying there Tuesday night (May 26) and then heading out Wed morning May 27? I am trying to fit in a visit to Maker's Mark in Loretto, KY before the JJJ and I just want to make sure that I have the dates right. Tom |

Tue May 26 => riders arrive in Georgetown, KY - Microtel Inn Wed May 27 => JJJ Day1 ends at West Liberty, KY - Days Inn Thur May 28 => JJJ Day2 ends at Princeton, WV - Days Inn Fri May 29 => JJJ Day3 ends at FriendSToc - The Village Inn Sat May 30 => FriendSToc - The Village Inn If you want I'll give you a good route to get to Georgetown from Loretto. Let me know what format you need it in. ..... |
