John, I'll scope the motels out and provide info here. There are several right off exit 126 on I-75 at Georgetown. That is just about 4 miles from my house and I will just meet you guys there. There is a Cracker Barrel right across the street if everyone wants to get a belly full of breakfast before heading out too. With the mileages I have laid out for each day there won't be any 6:00AM clutch outs on this ride <ducks> Here's the hotels off the exit 126 ....+ky+hotel&sll=38.235214,-84.566917&sspn=0.123779,0.2211&g=georgetown,+ky&ie=UTF8&ll=38.222403,-84.540503&spn=0.007738,0.013819&z=16,http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=georgetown,+ky+hotel&sll=38.235214,-84.566917&sspn=0.123779,0.2211&g=georgetown,+ky&ie=UTF8&ll=38.222403,-84.540503&spn=0.007738,0.013819&z=16 (Message edited by number9 on March 28, 2009) |

Jason- You need to put someone in charge of Uncle Phil and keep him out late so he won't want a 6 AM clutch out. |

Me and Clay worked on the buggy this weekend. Put a new voltage regulator and battery terminals on it (it's made in China) and took it for a ride. Got it ready for the trial tours up to the "lookout" where you can see down on the town - big town that it is..... you could just about climb a light pole and look down on the whole thing I scoped the Days Inn motel out and it looks pretty good from what I could see. It is up on the hill over McD's and just across the road from Cougar Corner gas station / mart and IGA and Save-A-Lot grocery store and a Dollar store so you'll be close if you need to pick up anything. For those that roll into Georgetown a day early, we'll get out and take a loop around some of the impressive horse farms around here. Beautiful relaxing ride. ..... |

JASON - Looking at the map, there's a Days Inn and a Comfort Inn right next to a Texas Steakhouse, Applebees, and a Bob Evans on Meadow Field Lane between I77 and highway 460. There's also a Comfort Inn and a Super 8 in the area. Good luck on your survey run! RedBird-97STD 122,000+M SweetTreat-02ABS 53,000+M FroST-97ABS 11,000+M http://www.unclephil.us/

I'm going to be needing a head count for the dinner by the 25th of this month. If you are planning to attend please email me: tlwright19@comcast.net or post here so Reg can add you to the list of attendees at www.friendstoc.org. What better way to shake off the winter cobwebs than a ride to Virginia to swap stories and see old and new friends. It wouldn't be Friendstoc without this:

Didn't get to ride down to Princeton, had to work. But I did call and found the Days Inn to have the best rates between it and the Hampton Inn. Both confirmed that there is a Carcker Barrel across the street (I can't do Bob Evans, but you all can). So, here is updated hotel info........ Tue May 26 => Georgetown, KY Microtel Inn - across from KFC and Speedway gas station Wed May 27 => West Liberty, KY Days Inn Thur May 28 => Princeton, WV Days Inn Fri May 29 => FriendSToc - The Village Inn Sat May 30 => FriendSToc - The Village Inn (Message edited by number9 on April 21, 2009) |
